Diane Beitz
College advisor/coach and co-owner of College Start. With a background in adolescent development and education. Diane empowers and supports students of all academic levels to achieve their goals in high school and college.
Through careful listening, planning, problem-solving, information sharing, and relationship building with students she guides all phases of college prep and admissions prep in grades 9-12.
Diane has developed and implemented academic support programs and activities for the California Department of Education and many County Offices of Education prior to joining College Start.
She graduated from Western Washington Univeristy with a B.A. in Child/Adolecent Development.
Shannon McIntosh
College admissions advisor / coach with College Start since 1997. Shannon joined College Start following five years with the California State University system, where she was an advisor for Early Academic Planning programs designed for middle and high school students. She is a certified teacher with specialized training in school to career internships.
Shannon advises and coaches students in grades 9-10. She is also a writing development coach and specializes in assisting students applying for scholarships, special programs, and internships.
Shannon graduated from CSU Humboldt with a B.A. in Liberal Arts
Frank Beitz
CEO and co-owner of College Start since 1995. Frank manages business operations and parent services at College Start.
He is a former county director of Human Services,
Family and Children's Services, and Children's Behavioral Health programs in California, Oregon and Washington.
Frank holds a lifetime teaching credential from California Community Colleges. His years of experience supporting families and adolecents is the foundation of College Start's committment to providing individualized professional services.
Frank graduated from CSU Sacramento with B.A.'s in Psychology and Art. He also holds an MSW.
